About this grant
The Land Trust Alliance is a national nonprofit that coordinates technical and capacity-building support for its nationwide network of land trust members. Over the past two decades of Mott Foundation support, the Alliance has: 1) established a Midwest Great Lakes program; 2) convened practitioners; 3) hosted the first Land Trust Land & Water Summit; and 4) piloted demonstration projects to improve water quality. With this grant, the Alliance will support its members in expanding nature-based water and land conservation solutions. The Alliance will enhance the capacity of its member land trusts to implement water and land conservation solutions in the Great Lakes region. The Land Trust Alliance will also facilitate the exchange of best practices on water and land conservation among its land trust members in the Great Lakes region.
