About this grant
The Minneapolis Foundation, a Minnesota-based community foundation, supports the Midwest Environmental Justice Network, a project led by and for community-based organizations across a 12-state region. The Network connects and supports leaders of grassroots groups to address environmental justice and water equity impacting their communities at the local level. With prior Mott Foundation funding, the grantee increased its membership, financial resources and regranting to build capacity and collective strength. With renewed support, Minneapolis Foundation will provide regrants, peer learning, training and capacity building for groups working on water issues in the Great Lakes region. The Network will also increase its outreach and communications to share strategies and stories of its members to grow the network.
