About this grant
Water utilities and other water management organizations across the U.S. are facing a range of interrelated challenges. These include disparities in access to safe and affordable drinking water, wavering federal support for water infrastructure spending and climate change. New ways of managing the nation’s water resources are needed. The U.S. Water Alliance — a highly regarded national nonprofit — is well-positioned to help fashion such new approaches. Over the next two years, with general purposes support from the Mott Foundation, the grantee will: 1) support leaders in the field; 2) drive local action; 3) advocate for water funding and related policy reforms; and 4) use strategic communications to build public understanding and support.
