About this grant
This grant will support the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana, which coordinates the Louisiana Statewide Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) deepen strategic partnership with partners to support the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program’s outreach, guidance and implementation support; 2) increase engagement with state and local policymakers to elevate childcare and afterschool as workforce infrastructure; 3) expand access to childcare and out-of-school time (OST) programs in parishes implementing four-day school weeks; and 4) improve program quality and sustainability by supporting and strengthening the OST workforce.
