Ohio Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Ohio Children’s Alliance, which coordinates the Ohio Statewide Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. This grant provides support to further policies, improve quality practices and develop strategies to reach more students and families in alignment with the long-term vision for the state. This grant will include the accomplishment of the following outcomes and activities: 1) work with partners and allies to establish a dedicated funding stream in Ohio to support Out-of-School time programs; 2) build and leverage strategic partnerships to advance high-quality out-of-school time Out-of-School time programming statewide; and 3) increase afterschool programs that assist youth in workforce preparation, including STEM, entrepreneurship education, critical workplace soft skills and partnerships with employers that support career exploration and pathways.
