About this grant
This grant will support the United Ways of Tennessee, which coordinates the Tennessee Statewide Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) design and work with partners to implement a statewide policy roadmap to increase access to afterschool programs for youth in Tennessee; 2) educate policymakers through hosting events and releasing coordinated communication materials demonstrating the positive impact of afterschool programs; 3) identify youth and family program needs and afterschool program deserts through implementing regional community surveys; hosting webinars and convening programs; and 4) strengthen the network through further diversifying its membership and partnerships.
