About this grant
The Great Lakes Islands Alliance (the Alliance) — a project of the Stewardship Network — is a binational, voluntary collaborative network comprising over 300 island leaders from 20 islands in the Great Lakes region. The Alliance implements island-appropriate solutions to an array of environmental challenges, from rising lake levels to invasive species to water pollution. With previous support from the Mott Foundation, the grantee expanded its membership and communications and hosted an Island Summit. With renewed support, the Stewardship Network will be able to strengthen the connections and communications between islands and islanders while advancing stewardship of island natural resources.
