About this grant
The Hopewell Fund and its partner organizations, the Next Gen Chamber of Commerce and Next Gen HQ, since 2021 have worked to encourage and empower Genesee County youth with its youth entrepreneurship programs. The programs feature a youth entrepreneurship summit and a fellowship program. During this grant period, the grantee will serve as the fiscal sponsor for the Next Gen Chamber of Commerce to focus on deepening Flint’s role as an exemplary youth entrepreneurship ecosystem by expanding access, participation and outcomes within a single community. The grantee will deliver the annual summit and year-long fellowship program in Genesee County, engaging 200 students at the summit, activating 150 mentors, judges, advisors and partners, and supporting a 15-student fellowship cohort through sustained, accelerator-style programming.
