About this grant
Peckham, Inc., a nonprofit rehabilitation organization, facilitates Manufacturing EDGE, a community-based career exploration and readiness initiative designed to connect Flint area adults with disabilities ages 18 and older to opportunities in advanced manufacturing. The program will help residents who may be interested in manufacturing careers, but are unsure how to enter the industry, build foundational knowledge, workplace readiness skills and connections to local employers. Grant funding will directly support accessible workshops, digital learning resources, employer engagement activities and supportive services that reduce barriers to participation.
