About this grant
With this grant, the Genesee County Parks & Recreation Commission will lead the construction of the north phase of the Grand Traverse Greenway Trail. The trail segment will begin at Kearsley Street in Flint’s state park and extend south to I-69. This is an important connector, beginning to directly link people to the state park via nonmotorized trails. This project supports public access to outdoor recreation, promoting health, connectivity, and environmental stewardship for residents of Flint and the surrounding community.
