About this grant
This grant will support STEM Next Opportunity Fund’s fellowship program, a public-private partnership initiative expanding access to high-quality afterschool, summer and informal STEM learning for youth. For more than a decade, the STEM Next Opportunity Fellows have been key champions of expanded learning opportunities at the federal and state levels. With a new focus on increasing state-level decision-making and resources, this project will: 1) strengthen state strategies to grow afterschool and informal STEM learning; 2) support allocations of state resources from the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program; and 3) collaborate with leading researchers to identify priorities, strategies and programs that improve afterschool.
