About this grant
This grant will support the operations of the community water lab at the Flint Development Center. The grantee, Evergreen Community Development Initiative, operates the Flint Development Center which is located in a former Flint Community School elementary building. The community water lab will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology to test water for multiple contaminants. Scientists and staff of the lab, including youth, will work with residents to collect water samples, test for multiple contaminants, provide results and work with households to address any identified issues.
