Framework for Aligning Teaching and Learning
This grant increase will provide support to the Flint Community Schools to implement a model of instruction to help refine and supplement teachers’ instructional skills to meet rigorous academic standards and develop principals’ skills to support teacher instruction, which has become even more important with the issues surrounding the city’s water system. The model focuses on essential classroom strategies for achieving rigor, standards-based planning, data reflection and action, collaboration, and creating optimal conditions for learning.
