About this grant
This renewal grant provides partial support for the Genesee Area Focus Fund and its supported organization, the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce, to deliver economic development and education and training services to the Flint area and build Flint’s economic resilience to recover from the Flint water crisis. The chamber increases business investment, job creation, and industry diversification through business retention, expansion, and attraction activities, as well as entrepreneurial support services. The chamber also enhances the region’s economic competitiveness and quality of life by providing workforce education and training programming across all age levels, and by engaging in special initiative projects with strategic partners.
