About this grant
This grant will provide support to St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center for the Employment Preparation Program. Serving residents of north Flint, the program works with individuals who are structurally unemployed and need a broad array of wraparound services to adequately prepare them to find and retain employment. The program will continue to expand its outreach to employers for future job placements and establish an alumni network to offer support to participants and graduates. Additionally, the grantee will continue to develop a more robust evaluation and tracking system to measure programmatic outcomes. Providing residents with opportunities for job training and employment will help build Flint’s economic resilience to recover from the water crisis.
