Flint Area Reinvestment Office
This grant provides support to the Flint Area Reinvestment Office to carry out its mission as a catalyst and facilitator for innovative community and economic development initiatives in the Flint region. A project of the United Way of Genesee County, the Flint Area Reinvestment Office convenes community-, regional-, and state-based partners around grant opportunities and provides supportive services to enable partners to pursue grants efficiently and effectively. Formerly a program of the Prima Civitas Foundation, the Flint Area Reinvestment Office was founded in 2009, and since that time, has had direct involvement in securing $82 million in federal and state grants. In 2014, the Flint Area Reinvestment Office broadened its activities to include developing and supporting entrepreneurship-related programming as a strategic focus.
