2015 Annual Report | Flint: reflections on crisis, community and commitment in Mott’s hometown

While the water crisis in Flint has presented formidable challenges, we believe it also has affirmed that the Mott Foundation’s home community has what it takes to recover and rise from the disaster. Through a series of brief “snapshots,” our latest annual report explores how the Foundation’s work in Flint over the years has helped to build the local institutions and resources that are being brought to bear on the crisis.

The report also features a joint message from William S. White, the Foundation’s chairman and CEO, and Ridgway H. White, president, who reflect on the crisis and on the value of endowed philanthropy and the importance of partnerships in helping communities deal with ordinary challenges and extraordinary crises.
