Flint residents deserve a safe, welcoming and well-resourced community that provides a high quality of life for all.
Flint and its residents thrive when basic needs and services are met, people feel safe, strong youth sports programs are well coordinated and accessible, and residents can come together in community centers, parks, play spaces and cultural venues to celebrate diversity and build community.
Through this grantmaking initiative, the Foundation aims to ensure all residents across the city will have equitable access to programs, resources and amenities that contribute to a higher quality of life.
Connected networks of organizations ensure a “no wrong door” approach and deliver programs and services in a way that meets the needs of people of all abilities. As a long-standing institution in the community, the Mott Foundation’s capital grants play a critical role in sustaining physical assets for use well into the future.
We have four strategies to achieve our goals.
