Mott Children’s Health Center’s is rooted in Mr. Mott’s philanthropy. When he started the Mott Foundation, one of the early focuses was children’s health. He was focused on making sure the children in Genesee County had access to care. This was in the 30s before Medicaid existed, so we were founded in 1939 to provide healthcare for children at no cost.”
